Did you know the Bible teaches that history is going somewhere and that someday that somewhere will culminate in the literal return of the Lord Jesus to earth? This is the blessed hope we are told to long for; this is the event we are told to eagerly await, to look for and to hasten.* A huge portion of both the Old and New Testaments focuses on this event, and yet many sincere believers have never taken the time to investigate or understand what Jesus Himself taught about His own return!
The framework for this fast-paced study is the teaching of Jesus found in the Olivet Discourse, Matthew 24 and 25. In this 9-lesson study, we will survey the specific signs that the Lord said must precede His return. We will see that the Lord disclosed the order of events that surround His return. We will also learn that He doesn’t want us to be afraid or caught by surprise or to be spiritually asleep ---- but to connect the dots and be ready. In fact, he talks more about our readiness than His actual return! He wants us prepared so that we will pass the test. He enjoins us to endure and persevere. He urges us to be found faithful at the end of the day. This study will give you the tools you need to better understand and be spiritually ready for the events surrounding the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
