Colossians 3:15

….and be thankful. Colossians 3:15.

Ten leprous men called out to Jesus for mercy. The Lord healed all ten of them, but only one turned back, “glorifying God with a loud voice and fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him.” Jesus said, “Were there not ten men cleansed? But the nine, where are they?” Luke 17:15-17.

This story underscores the importance of recognizing our blessings and giving thanks to the Lord for them.

As we move into the last week of 2021 it is almost time to turn the page to a new year. Before we do that, let’s take a moment to reflect on the blessings of this past year. Look back over your calendar. Remember the people who were special to you. Remember things that happened that you are grateful for. Spend some time today thanking the Lord for these specific blessings and if possible sharing your grateful heart with others. Before we move into the new year, let’s be thankful for the blessings that came our way in 2021.
