1 Corinthians 5:9
So we make it our goal to be pleasing to Him! II Corinthians 5:9
There is a growing sense of anticipation about what the new year will bring. Will covid move to our rear view mirror? What else is around the corner? We can never be certain, only God knows our future. We need to walk in humility as we consider next year. We have no idea what the new year will bring but we are promised that the Lord will walk with us every step of the way.
You may be leery of making new years resolutions. I was recently talking with a friend who said she is over the whole idea because for 2020 her top resolution was that she would travel more! There are obviously many things over which we have no control.
Even though our future is uncertain, I believe we can still be proactive and intentional about how we conduct our lives in 2022. In II Corinthians Paul gives us our overarching goal: to live our lives in a way that pleases the Lord. One of the exercises that I believe will help us become more intentional in reaching toward this goal is setting objectives for our lives for the coming year. I have found that when I spend sometime setting reasonable objectives, I can bend the curve during the year in the right direction toward the goal of living my life in a way that pleases the Lord..
So with no guilt, and with the goal of a life that pleases the Lord, I want to consider with you how each of us can set personal achievable objectives for 2022.
